Advanced Diabetes Conference

Advanced Diabetes Conference from Imperial College London Diabetes Centre will run for the sixth time in 2018, providing cutting-edge interactive sessions focussed around the latest clinical practice, as well as treatment and management challenges of diabetes.

Participants can bring their difficult cases and have them debated, discussed and dissected by experts at the interactive workshops. 

With many learned speakers, many important subjects covered and a number of HAAD-accredited CME hours on offer, it is already a firm fixture on the calendar for the region’s medical sector.

Abstracts

Each themed workshop will include at least one delegate clinicalcase. As a meeting delegate, you are expected to submit a case, even if youhave not already done so. If you wish to present a case please submit anabstract which will be considered by the Conference Organising Committee.

Abstracts should be no longer than 300 words and should be sent asan attached word document. Click here to see a suggested template.

Please send your abstracts by email to cme@icldc.ae by April 20, 2016 at the latest.

If you have your case accepted for the meeting, please ensure toprepare your case presentation. You should have no more than 6 slides plustitle slide WITHOUT animations for your 10 minute case presentation. Thispresentation will be given in one of the workshop groups to be discussed withthe workshop conveners and your fellow delegates. A suggested structure foryour slides is included below:

·        Slide 1 :Title of abstract, name of author, allocated session title including day andtime

·        Slide 2 :Patient History

·        Slide 3 :Investigations

·        Slide 4 :Imaging (if any, otherwise omit; take care that no identifying information isincluded)

·        Slide 5 :Questions for the audience

·        Slide 6 :Case resolution/follow up

Please alsobring your presentation with you on a memory stick and report to theregistration desk to upload your presentation when you arrive.

Delegateswill be notified of which workshops they will be presenting in before themeeting and an abstract book of the cases will be uploaded onto this websiteafter the meeting.
