Advanced Medicine Congress

The third Advanced Medicine Congress will bring together specialists from around the world to discuss the latest trends and developments in gastroenterology, renal medicine and infectious diseases. Innovation in medicine is the theme for this year's conference.


Forming part of the Imperial College London Diabetes Centre Education Series, AMC is hosted in partnership with the UK's Royal Colleges of Physicians (RCP) and will provide general and specialist physicians  at all levels of experience, opportunities to engage in leading-edge conversations and learning around advances in clinical practice through workshops, case study presentations and meet the expert sessions.

The Advanced Medicine Congress will be held at the Yas Viceroy Hotel, on Yas Island. It's located 15 minutes from the Abu Dhabi International Airport.

Delegates are invited to attend 3 workshops, each designed to address common clinical problems relevant to both General and Specialist Physicians. Workshops are case-study based, with each themed session including at least one clinical case for discussion.

If you wish to present a case during a workshop, please submit an abstract which will be considered for inclusion by our Conference Organizing Committee.

Abstracts should be no longer than 300 words and provided by email in a Word document. Click here to see a suggested template.

Please send your abstracts via email to by October 20, 2017.

If your abstract is accepted, you will be notified by October 25, 2017, following which you’ll be asked to prepare a 10 minute presentation using no more than six slides, plus title slide without animation. A suggested structure for your slides is included below:

Slide 1: Title of abstract, name of author, allocated session title including day and time

Slide 2: Patient History

Slide 3: Investigations

Slide 4: Imaging (if any, otherwise omit; take care that no identifying information is included)

Slide 5: Questions for the audience

Slide 6: Case resolution/follow up

All case presentations must be received by email by November 9, 2017.

Delegates will be notified of which workshops they will be presenting in before the meeting.
