Imperial College London Diabetes Centre’s Mobile Clinic is an innovative solution that harnesses technology to provide local access to world-class diabetes care. Engineered with the flexibility to operate off-grid and from diverse locations according to patient need, it is contributing to the UAE leadership’s vision of an effective and sustainable healthcare system.
The state-of-the-art Mobile Clinic is currently located in Madinat Zayed, Al Gharbia adjacent to the Majlis and offers a range of services including diabetology and endocrinology consultation services, retinal photography and pharmacy dispensation. The clinic can accommodate up to 20 patients a day and is operated by our qualified and experienced team of caregivers.
The Mobile Diabetes Clinic is currently offering free Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) non-invasive tests until the mobile clinic is fully operational. The HbA1C blood test is one of the most important tests for people with diabetes or pre-diabetes. This 5-minute test provides an average blood glucose level over the past period of 2 to 3 months. Individuals tested will be provided with the results alongside recommendations, including whether it is necessary to seek further medical advice from their family doctor. Those with diabetes or pre-diabetes will be able to take an appointment at the Mobile Clinic, should they wish to.
