ICLDC recognized as a quality medical provider
December 2009:
Abu Dhabi : Imperial College London Diabetes Centre (ICLDC), the UAE’s largest specialist medical centre dedicated to the treatment of diabetes, has been awarded an accreditation with commendation by the Joint Commission International (JCI). ICLDC is an initiative of Mubadala Healthcare, in partnership with UK’s Imperial College London.

Record-breaking diabetes walkathon as more than 10,000 pace 5kms at Yas Marina Circuit

More than 10,000 people joined the WALK UAE 2009 walkathon at the Yas Marina Circuit to raise the public awareness of diabetes, and broke a record to boot. The event organisers, Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, confirmed that the five kilometre walk around the Yas Marina Circuit received the biggest turnout for the diabetes walkathon, up by more than 30 percent on last year.

Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island to host diabetes walkathon

More than 10,000 residents are expected to seize the opportunity to pace the YAS Marina Circuit track on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island in this year’s walk against diabetes, according to Dr Maha Taysir Barakat, Medical & Research Director and Consultant Endocrinologist, Imperial College London Diabetes Centre.
