Obesity & Bariatric

Imperial College London Diabetes Centre has partnered with its sister company Healthpoint, the super-speciality destination hospital in Abu Dhabi, to jointly treat patients suffering from obesity.

The joint Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Centre provides a multi-disciplinary approach in tackling the disease and related complications.

Patients identified as good candidates for surgery follow a program of dietary education and psychological support tailored to suit their needs. With the combined strength of both organisations, patients are assured of continuous care and extensive follow up post-surgery.

The Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery Centre, located at Healthpoint in Zayed Sports City, Abu Dhabi has the expertise in delivering world-class services to obese patients who suffer from diabetes and need a life changing solution.

In addition, in 2021, Imperial College London Diabetes Centre became the first in Abu Dhabi and the third in the UAE to be accredited as a Collaborating Centre for Obesity Management (COM) by the European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO). A testament to its expertise in managing obesity alongside diabetes.
